Laurel is host to a variety of events, activities, and attractions. Our community-wide Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration is a major event for the town, drawing crowds from around the region. The celebration usually starts with a Carnival which lasts through the weekend. The day-long festival includes a parade, arts and crafts vendors, contests, musical groups, magicians, and lots of food. The fun-filled day ends with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk.
